Environmental Actions

Huggable Toys is aware of global environmental concerns and is taking steps to help our planet where and however we can

  • Within our warehouse we ensure we reduce plastic wherever possible, and recycle paper and packaging where and when we can.
  • Our cartons and cardboard boxes are re-used for packing and dispatch and we encourage recipients to recycle accordingly.
  • Our sales rep’s vehicles are regularly serviced to ensure lower carbon emissions.
  • All Huggable Toys are filled using clean, recycled, PET products, with many now also made from clean, recycled, PET fabrics (see our Eco Hugs range).
  • All toys are tested and made in accordance with existing Toy Safety Standards
  • We ensure our dyes used in our plush toys are lead-free

 

Social Responsibility

Huggable Toys believes we have a duty to act in the best interest of the environment and of society.

It is very important to us here at Huggable Toys that not only are our staff in Australia looked after by an ethical labour code of conduct, but that our factories in Asia also adhere to these ethical codes of conduct. Our factories all adhere to existing Toy Safety Standards and support adherence to ICTI / BSCI ethical standards ensuring factories uphold minimum standards supporting the rights and well-being of workers, including decent wages and conditions, high standards of health and hygiene and no child labour.

Huggable Toys donates and provides to selected charities, as well as assists in raising funds for different charities throughout the year. We believe in supporting efforts which aim to improve conditions for our planet, for all humans, and for our animals.

We believe in dealing openly and fairly with all our customers and suppliers and are committed to acting with responsibility and integrity at all times.
